Jason and Ruth lead our service this morning.

Jason continues to look at life as a Baptist by looking at Acts 2 verses 41-47. Powerbase, our series of groups for youngsters, continue their sessions after the first part of the service. We hope you feel comfortable on our premises. Stay if you can for refreshments after the service, for which there is no charge. This leaflet gives you some idea of our life together in fellowship; have a talk with some of the regulars and our welcome team to find out more.

Creche isn’t just a happy land—this week our pre-schoolers will be finding out about how Jesus told his disciples to learn from children like them!

Annual Reports now due

Please get your notes/thoughts to Karen Sweetman-Hicks so that she can compile them into our annual report. . We’re looking for reflections from both groups and individuals, so get writing and send over to Karen.

Deacons

At our AGM this year there will be elections for the vacancies on the deaconate. Ted Jackson comes to the end of his term of service and we still carry one vacancy. There is a letter on the notice board at the back of the church that explains more. So please pray, read, discuss, consider and nominate those who may be best to fill these roles.

Big Church Day Out 2017

For anyone who has not heard of BCDO, this is a major Christian music festival, held in the grounds of Wiston House near Steyning. It is attended by thousands of people each year, many of whom travel long distances because it really is that good! There are always major names in the line-up; acts which have already confirmed for this year include Rend Collective, Tim Hughes and LZ7, plus more still to be announced. They have several acts taking place on different stages at the same time, so there is always something of interest for everyone. They have plenty of stalls selling Christian-related goods, loads of food stalls and there is a small funfair on site too. The event is being held over the weekend of 27-28 May. If you are interested in going please let Martin know as he will be arranging a group booking to get a discount on the ticket price.
