Whether you have been coming to this place for as long as our friends from Gove Vale or this is your first visit, we welcome you amongst us.

We celebrate the news that Jesus has defeated even death itself by rising from the dead. This morning we celebrate with flowers, in song, word, testimony and baptism. You are welcome to join in or observe as you wish.

Please join us for refreshments after the service.

If you would like to know more about our building or any aspect of our fellowship together, then please do ask one of the welcome team.

Baptism

It’s wonderful to welcome Mary, Sherrie, Alan and Simon into the waters of baptism this morning. In baptism we declare that ‘Jesus is Lord’. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead that first Easter Sunday is still working even today to transform hearts and lives to live in love. As we see such hurt and suffering around us in the world we rejoice that there is hope and peace that comes as a new life with our relationship with Christ.

We also extend a warm welcome to all those that are here supporting the baptism candidates. We trust you fell relaxed amongst us and are able to join with our worship this morning.

Lord God,
You loved this world so much,
That you gave your one and only Son,
That we might be called your children too.
Lord, help us to live in the gladness and grace
Of Easter Sunday, everyday,
Let us have hearts of thankfulness For your sacrifice.
Let us have eyes that look upon
Your grace and rejoice in our salvation.
Help us to walk in that mighty grace
And tell your good news to the world.
All for your glory do we pray, Lord, Amen.

Easter Monday Walk

Join us on Easter Monday to enjoy the Sussex countryside. We’ll be based at Dial Post, just off the A24 and our walk will take us to Shipley Windmill. The village hall provides a great base for an afternoon of fellowship. Feel free to join us for a picnic lunch from 1pm and we’ll finish with refreshments at 3pm. All is free, but you’ll need your own picnic lunch and if you want to bring some cake to share in the afternoon then you’ll be more than welcome. See the leaflet for more info and if you sign up on the sheet at the back of church it will help us know who to expect there.
