Welcome to BIG CHURCH the one where we’re All-In!

The service this morning will be led by the BIG CHURCH team with help from some familiar friends! A warm welcome is extended to any visitors and you are invited to stay for a cuppa after our time of family worship together.

WHAT?

The theme of today’s service is ‘Sharing Jesus’. We have the most exciting and important news in the world. How should we go about sharing it?

HOW?

Through God’s Word, music, drama, discussion, being still, moving, dance, creating, baking, thinking, writing, watching, listening…and more!

PREPARE…

Come ready to meet and be changed by God and grow in relationship with Him.

PRAY…

That the Holy Spirit will inspire and challenge you and that Jesus will be the focus of all our worship.

FINALLY…

Please fill up the church from the front and get ready to ‘Go BIG!’

  • DISCUSS – Use the questions in the news sheet as the basis for discussion, led by Jason in the lobby. Discover what the mystery
  • THINK – Think about and make a personal response to the questions in the news sheet. You may wish to stay in the sanctuary (baptistery side) or sit in the Anchor Lounge.

The Wave Cafe

This week our wonderful Wave Café has celebrated eight years of serving up sumptuousness! We are so grateful to all those who have supported, volunteered and worked in the café over this time. And with the refurbishment now complete we look forward to many more times of great fellowship and service in our community.

Thanks guys for all you do 🙂

Recordings

The service is recorded each week and occasionally we take photos of activities during our services. These may be used by the church to illustrate what we do.

If you don’t want to be in any of these, then please mention it to one of our welcome team.

DBS and Safe guarding update

First of all, along with the deacons, I wish to thank Karen Sweetman-Hicks for the fantastic effort she has put in to bring our safeguarding and DBS systems up to date. We know that after our last members meeting there was some confusion, regarding our compliance, with regard to the children’s work within the church. The deacons and I want clarify that at no time did we contravene any safe guarding guidelines but our policies were in need of changing in the respect to the new DBS guidelines. These have all been done and along with the Powerbase team’s significant input we now have in place a more robust system which will continue to ensure the safety and spiritual growth of children within the church. Those of you involved with Powerbase will be updated by the Powerbase leaders in due course but if anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to speak to them, Karen, Linda Rockall or myself.

God Bless
Jason

  • How will you go about inviting them?
  • How will you follow up the invitation?
