Whether this is your first visit, or you feel like you are part of the furniture, we pray you find a fresh welcome as we gather for worship.

We meet each Sunday to bring our prayers, praise and worship, to explore God’s word and to join in fellowship with God’s family.

We start our October by thanking God for the harvest and welcome our uniformed organisations as we join in praise and offering gifts for Turning Tides (formally Worthing Churches Homeless Projects). Our regular service on the 14th is led by Paul and Jason returns to lead us in Communion on 21st and we look forward to welcoming Helen Vipass from Hope for Latvia on the 28th. Throughout all our activities together, many from the fellowship take part and we thank God for the richness of expression that is shown in our various activities. If you’d like to know more about what goes on at Broadwater Baptist Church then do talk with those involved in any aspect of the service as they will be able to tell you more.

After our service, there is always time for fellowship over a cup of tea or coffee, so please do take the opportunity to say hello and find out more about our life together as a fellowship.

Our Mission

Matthew 28:16-20

Broadwater Baptist Church seeks to be a church encouraged by being disciples of Jesus and released as a worshipping people. We strive to work with the Holy Spirit to bring Jesus’ Gospel of hope to the communities God has placed us.

Homegroups

Our homegroups are small midweek gatherings in people’s homes, where there is opportunity to explore issues about our beliefs and support each other as we live out our faith. There is a variety of formats, as unique as the people who attend. This month the various meetings are:

  • Linda Rockall’s group: 17th (not 31st due to light party)
  • Ted & Sherrie’s group: 3rd & 17th
  • Paul & Lauren’s group: 4th & 25th
  • Joy’s group: 16th
  • Youth group: 6th, 16th & 30th
  • Jason’s group: 18th Oct & 8th Nov
  • Paul & Sue’s group: 30th @ Richard & Maureen’s

Powerbase

All ages gather together at the beginning of our services to bring collective praise and worship to our amazing God. Then, for our services on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays our younger groups run in the second half of the service providing a great environment to learn more about God whilst having fun and taking part in a range of activities.

This month the groups will be looking at how David survived some encounters with Saul in his young life as told in 1 Samuel and the parable that Jesus told of the great banquet in Luke.
