Jason and Ruth lead our communion service this morning. Powerbase, our series of groups for youngsters, go off to their sessions after the first part of the service.

We hope you feel comfortable on our premises and receive a warm welcome. Stay if you can for refreshments after the service, for which there is no charge. This leaflet gives you some idea of the activities in our fellowship; but to know more our welcome team or any of the regulars can give you a much better picture of life at BBC 🙂

Brownies

Brownies will have their 60th birthday in January 2017. They have been connected to our church and so all from church are warmly invited to join with 11th Worthing Brownies in our celebration. This will take place on Saturday 21st January, 2:30pm to 4:30pm in the Church Hall. There will be refreshments, birthday cake and activities to try. So if you can make it, have any photos or written memories that can be displayed at the party then please contact Hazel Ollive. She will also need to know if you are coming for catering purpose.

1 Corinthians 11 v17-22

17 In the following directives] have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good. 18 In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it. 19 No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God’s approval. 20 So then, when you come together, it is not the Lord’s Supper you eat, 21 for when you are eating, some of you go ahead with your own private suppers. As a result, one person remains hungry and another gets drunk. 22 Don’t you have homes to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God by humiliating those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? Certainly not in this matter!

What is your story?

It may seem that 2016 is just a distant memory, but please reflect on the year that was and jot down some notes for o our annual report.

This is always a significant part of our AGM, to look back at the various views of our fellowship in 2016. So if you represent an organisation or just yourself please take the time to write a few thoughts on the year that was and to pass them over to Karen Sweetman-Hicks by 20th February so that she can compile the report.
