17 September 2017 – Church Newsletter

This morning Jason and Paul lead our communion service.

Jason continues the series of ‘Fruitfulness on the Frontline’ by considering ‘Modelling Godly Character’ based on the passage Galatians chapter 5 verses 13-26.

Our younger groups have their various sessions after we spend some time all together in the service this morning. If you would like to know anything about what goes on here today or what our fellowship gets up to then please do ask one of the welcome team who met you as you came in this morning. And do stay with us after the service for refreshments and the opportunity to get to know someone a bit more over a cuppa and a biscuit.

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

Galatians 5:22-23

Youth Bowling

Fancy a night of  bowling and general good times? Well unless you’re in school years 7-13 then think again! But for the lucky few then see Jason, Claire or Caro for more info about the evening of 3rd October. Or watch this space for more details…

The Wave Café

A great place to catch up or to enjoy a wide range of tasty treats, refreshments and wholesome meals. Open weekdays 9am—3pm.

End of Summer Social Evening

Heather and Martin would like to thank everyone who came to the Social Evening last Saturday for their support, and also to those who kindly helped clear up afterwards. Special thanks go to Mark Tilyard for

providing the music, and to Simon Napper for designing the publicity material. Ticket sales and donations came to E200 and this figure will be going to One Mission. Lots of people said how much they enjoyed the evening so it is hoped that another social event will be held again before long.

Alpha Course

Phil Gilbert will be running another Alpha course at Durrington New Life from Wednesday 27 September. Please see Phil or Jason if you want to know more details of this course.
