Jason and Ted lead our service this morning where we will be continuing our look at Baptist beliefs by examining baptism.

Powerbase, our series of groups for youngsters, go off to their sessions after the first part of the service.

We hope you feel comfortable on our premises and receive a warm welcome. Stay if you can for refreshments after the service, for which there is no charge. This leaflet gives you some idea of the activities in our fellowship; but to know more our welcome team or any of the regulars can give you a much better picture of life at BBC 🙂

Therefore we were buried with Him by baptism into death, in order that, Just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in a new way of life.

Recordings

The service is recorded each week and occasionally we take photos of activities during our services. These may be used by the church to illustrate what we do. If you don’t want to be in any of these, then please mention it to one of our welcome team.

Annual General Meeting

Our AGM will be held on the evening of 23 March. It’s our opportunity to reflect on God’s gracious provision through last year and look forward with anticipation with all that lies ahead.

Deacons

At our AGM this year there will be elections for the vacancies on the deaconate. Ted Jackson comes to the end of his term of service and we still carry one vacancy. Jason and the deacons have more information regarding eligibility and the process for nomination, so please pray, consider and discuss over the next few weeks as to who may be best to fill these roles.

Reports

It’s that time of year when we try to bring our records up to date. Please have a look at the directory at the back of the church and update as necessary.

Also we’d love to hear your stories from the last year as part of our annual report—whether as part of a group or individually. Please submit your reports to Karen by 22 February to be included in this year’s report. And it would also be good if we had some pictures too !

Members Meeting

At our members meeting last Thursday a number of topics were reviewed. After opening devotions by Jason, the meeting considered: our finances, including specific provision for mission, health and safety in our building, election of deacons for the forthcoming AGM and, activities and events as we look forward to our Easter celebrations.
