It’s great to welcome Jason back from holiday as he leads this morning’s service with Ruth.

There will be no separate children’s activities during the service today, although do make use of the crèche facilities if it’s getting all too much for your little ones (or you!).

We hope all find a warm welcome here today and everyone is invited to join together for refreshments in the café area after the service. If you would like to know more about our fellowship, then please say hello to one of our welcome team.

Please note that the Wave Café will be closed from 1st August whilst the kitchen is refurbished. We look forward to welcoming everyone back with a fresh new look from Monday 22nd August.

One Mission

Baptist churches are generally self funding and we encourage all regular attendees of our fellowship to consider how they support the finances of the various activities that make up our life together; including making the most of gift aid if you are able to benefit from this. We also believe that part of good stewardship is to support others in a structured way. Our One Mission activities go towards funding the Baptist Missionary Society and Home Mission. Both of these Baptist organisations serve to bring God’s glory in challenging places both home and abroad. As well as the special events we’d encourage you to put some money away regularly using our ‘One Mission’ pots (any resemblance to Pringles containers is purely intentional!). Simply take a pot, fill it with money and bring it back. If you can give using gift aid, then pop your name or gift aid number on and we’ll be able to make it go further. If you have any questions then do have a word with our treasurer, Ted. Thanks.

During August

Our regular powerbase sessions on a Sunday morning have stopped for the summer. From next week and for all four weeks of August, Chris and his merry band of helpers will be providing activities in the main hall for the Powerbase age range. They will be exploring a whole variety of things to do with the ‘Fruit of the Spirit’.

Remember that most activities are taking a break during August. Dominoes, Monday prayers and painting sessions are now on their summer break reconvening at the beginning of September.

Keeping in Touch

With the holiday season upon us, many will be taking a break over the next few weeks. If you are travelling, then do keep up with what’s going on by checking our new look website or liking our facebook page. And of course we’d love to hear all about what you’ve been up to—post your adventures on our page, drop us an email or if you can remember how to write, even a postcard! May God give you refreshment and fun, whatever you are up to this summer.
