Jason and Lauren lead our service this morning.

After the first part of the service Chris will be running the first in the summer series of special sessions for our youngsters. During August they will be considering the 16 things that love is or isn’t as described in 1 Corinthians 13 v 4-8. For our preschoolers then you are welcome to use the creche facility in the Anchor lounge, but please note that during August this is on a self-service basis.

e pray you find refreshment and challenge in our fellowship together. Do stay if you can after the service for refreshments and take the opportunity to find out a bit more about what people are up to over this summertime.

Rev, Alan Edwards

Whether you remember him as minister here at BBC or his visits to preach since, or simply as dad to Steve and grandad to Kim & Tracy, Rev. Edwards has certainly been a significant part of this church’s life. It’s with sadness that we announce that Alan passed away on Monday last week. He had been very poorly for a couple of months and his wife June has also been struggling with her health. His funeral will be in Billericay on 14th Sept, further details to follow.

Discipleship

In the autumn we are embarking on a number of sessions as we follow Christ’s command of discipleship together and take the time to explore our gifts and ministries. There is homegroup leadership, pastoral training, a discipleship course and a natural evangelism course all running at various times through the summer and autumn. Please do talk with Jason about what you may be interested in taking part in as we endeavour to grow in Christ.
