19 November 2017 – Church Newsletter

This morning Jason and Sarah lead our communion service. We invite all those that recognise Jesus as Lord to share with us in communion.

The bread is passed around the congregation and taken individually. We then hold onto the wine (non-alcoholic) and drink together. Please do not feel you have to partake, take the time to remember how much God loves you.

Thank you to all who helped to make the Christmas Fair such a success (again!) yesterday. Whether setting up, running an activity, clearing up or just being part of the event, it was great to have so many people involved.

Our younger groups have their various sessions after we spend some time all together in the service this morning.

If you would like to know anything about what goes on here today or what our fellowship gets up to then please do ask one of the welcome team who met you as you came in this morning.

And do stay with us after the service for refreshments— there is still time to pick up a bargain from our fair and the money raised today will also be added to the money raised yesterday for Safe In Sussex.

Rainbows

2nd Worthing East (BB) Rainbows raised an amazing E345.00 for Guide Dogs for the Blind. AS a unit they decided to hold a sponsored 26 item treasure hunt (one item for each mile of a marathon) after Carol and her guide dog Leila visited them in the summer to help the rainbows complete part of a special 30th birthday challenge badge.

Carol and Leila kindly came back to rainbows during the autumn term.

And now in November Yvonne, a local Guide local Guide Dogs puppy walker and Ken, the local Guide Dogs Treasurer came to collect their amazing cheque. The Rainbows are now looking forward to sponsored puppy progresses through its training.

Well done to all the Rainbows and their great team of leaders.
