Whether a summer visitor or you feel like you are part of the furniture, we pray you find a fresh welcome as we gather for worship. We meet each Sunday to bring our prayers, praise and worship, to explore God’s word and to join in fellowship with God’s family.
During our August holiday period we are running special activities for the youngsters – after the first part of the service together Chris, Jenny and the crew will be boarding the Adventure Cruise. This includes activities for all as the team explore some key skills needed for the adventure of a lifetime.
As always, then do stay after our service for fellowship over a cup of tea or coffee. Take the opportunity to say hello and find out more about our life together as a fellowship.
The August Adventure Cruise
Each Sunday in August our youngsters are going on the most amazing adventure cruise. With Chris, Jenny and the crew they will be exploring the book of Luke as we look at the CC’s of choice, courage, call , change, commitment and challenge.
Running in the hall with activities suitable for all ages this is a great opportunity to find out just how we can get on board with Jesus.
Moving on
Sadly, the Tilyard family are moving to Newport, Shropshire. They are planning a Farewell Picnic at Goring Gap on Sunday 12th at Ipm (i.e. after Church) to which everyone is invited. Bring your own picnics and chairs etc. We’ll all eat together and play games and have general fun as we say farewell…rumour has it they’ll be back for church camp 2019!
Café
Our wonderful café runs as part of the Wave Centre here at church and is open through August. With it’s great mixture of volunteers and staff it’s able to provide good value meals and refreshments for those in our local community. Open weekdays 9am—3pm.
Our Mission Partners
It was great to hear from the Judkins, one of our BMS partners in July. Take time to see our various links to mission partners around the world by checking the map displayed in the café, by the entrance to the sanctuary. If you have your own connections, then we’d love to include them on the map too. See Linda Rockall for help to get your connections on the map.

On occasions, we make recordings and take pictures of our service. Any personal details included in these (image or otherwise) are used in line with our privacy policy for purposes of marketing and communication. We will only share information if we have permission and we’d ask that any personal recordings are dealt with in a like manner. If you don’t want your image to be included in BBC materials, then please just mention to our welcome team.
Praying for Others When There is Little Time
Do you find it difficult to know what to do or what to say when you feel you need to pray for someone? Often we are busy on a Sunday morning or talking to a friend over a coffee and some cake and you think God is prompting you yet you’re not quite sure what to do. Well the teaching day with Angela Seaton Mills may help inspire you and give you the confidence to act. There is a sign up sheet for this event running from 9:30 to 15:00 on the 8th September at the back of the church, or alternatively email Jason. Oh, and remember to bring a packed lunch!
