It’s great to welcome you to April at our fellowship.
We have much to share this month as we welcome our Easter visitors from Grove Vale and others who may not have known us for quite so long. In our worship together we pray you find a fresh awakening of your spirit as God reveals Himself in our lives. Each Sunday we join together to declare that Jesus is Lord in our prayers, praise, as we explore God’s word and in fellowship with each other.
After our service, there is always time for fellowship and prayer, either quietly in the sanctuary or over a cup of tea or coffee in the café. So please do join us to say hello and find out more about our life together.
Homegroups
Our homegroups are small midweek gatherings in people’s homes, where there is opportunity to explore issues about our beliefs and support each other as we live out our faith. There is a variety of formats, as unique as the people who attend. Some of the meetings this month are:

Grove Vale Campers
It’s our privilege to welcome our friends from Gove Vale as they stay at church over the Easter weekend once more.
Eastern European Meal
May 4th, 7 for 7.30pm at the Wave Cafe, the Hardwick family and friends will host an Eastern European themed evening including a 3 course meal. Proceeds going to Hope for Children, Latvia. Menu choices and sign up sheet are at the back of the church. Do see El for more details.
Out and About with BBC
This year’s Easter Monday walk will be based around the lovely new hall at Thakeham. We will be setting out from the hall at 9:30am for a walk through the countryside and returning for picnic lunch from 12:30.
All are welcome to join us throughout the afternoon at the hall and we will finish it off with afternoon tea at around 3pm. There isa sign up sheet at the back of church to help us with numbers and a volunteer or two to help with opening up would be appreciated. More details from Paul or Lauren.

- Creche and our ‘Powerbase’ youngsters groups meet each Sunday Senior Moments 2:30pm 2nd Sunday of the month A time to socialise and enjoy high tea.

- Time to Paint: 2nd Wednesday 1.45pm—4pm
- Mexican Train Dominoes Wednesdays 10:30–12:00
Café
Our wonderful café runs as part of the Wave Centre here at church and this month celebrates ten years of serving everyone who visits. With it’s great mixture of volunteers and staff it’s able to provide good value meals and refreshments for those in our local community. Open weekdays 9am—3pm.
Holidays
Please note that Jason is away on holiday from April 23rd until May 6th. In the first instance during this time then please contact the church Secretary.
News from friends
Steve Edwards Mum June passed away 4th April peacefully, but unexpectedly in Fernbank care home where she had recently moved to. Please pray for Steve, Lyn, Kim, Tracy and all of the family as they come to terms with their loss.
