Hi, whether visitor or regular it’s great you’re here.
We pray that you find a fresh awakening of your spirit as God reveals Himself in our lives. We declare that Jesus is Lord in our prayers, praise, as we explore God’s word and in fellowship with each other.
- 14th July with Jason, we continue our theme from our Grand Day Out with Colossians Iv15-20 and our indescribable God.
- 21 st July – Join us for our regular communion service led by Jason.
- 28th July – Chris Butler shares from Hosea Iv2-10
- 4th August – Karen Sweetman-Hicks shares from Ecclesiastes 2v18-23
August – throughout August our normal Powerbase children’s groups will be taking a break, but there will be plenty to enjoy with our summer special series led by Jenny and her band of helpers.
And of course there’s always time for a cup of tea or coffee after our service – you’re welcome.
Help for Children in Latvia
It was great to hear how well the team got on during their trip last month. Thanks to everyone for the incredible support to inspire this work. There is still plenty we can do, so our efforts continue…
Kath is hosting a coffee morning with a twist. You are invited to: Coffee, Pots and Tea and Cake! This is at her home from 10am till 12 noon on Saturday 20th July.
Refreshments
And on the theme of refreshments. We do so enjoy our time after the service each week. Teas and coffees are provided by a superb band of volunteers. However they are quite a small band currently and Chris Muddle would love to hear from others willing to help out on occasion…. Thanks.
Home Groups
We have a number of home groups that meet regularly to share and discuss how we work out our faith in practice.
Gill Whelan is looking to start an afternoon homegroup at the end of September. It will be held in the Anchor Lounge or vestibule at church. If this is something that interests you then please let Gill know and then we’ll be able to arrange a mutually acceptable afternoon for meeting up.
Sabbatical
Jason takes his first ever sabbatical soon. From August through to October Jason will be away from the day to day ctivities of the church. It’s a time for reflection, study and enrichment encouraged for all Baptist ministers. In the interim whilst he’s away, please refer matters t rough to Paul, our Church Secretary or one of the deacons.
Congratulations
After lots of dedication and hard work, it’s great that Chris Butler has now been approved by the Ministerial Recognition Committee as a Baptist preacher. This now means that many other congregations will get to hear Chris’s insights as he continues to use his gift across the wider Baptist family. Well done Chris 🙂
A Grand Day Out
Thanks to everyone who helped make our Grand Day Out so grand! Whether providing food, leading music, organising activities or simply being part of it all – God’s family meeting together is always so special.
Café
Remember our wonderful café runs as part of the Wave Centre here at church. Open Mon-Fri 9am—3pm
