This service was prepared prior to the announcement of the death of the Duke of Edinburgh on Friday 9 April. With this in mind we have included a small prayer and some scripture for you to pray and reflect on.
We pray for Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Family as they mourn the death of Prince Philip. We pray that they will know the comfort of God, who says ‘I will never leave you or forsake you’. We give thanks for the life of Prince Philip, for the support he gave to the Queen and for all that he brought to our nation. Amen.
If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Romans 14:8.
